Kendra appeared in the 2nd year of Buffy. She was the Slayer who was called once Buffy drowned at the prevent of Year One. (Buffy was immediately revived by Xander.) She came to Sunnydale to help Buffy fight off assassins sent by Spike to kill her. She returned at a prevent of the 2nd year to help once again, after the world was threatened by Angel and Drusilla's plan to prevent the world. Kendra was flushed by Drusilla while trying to save other members of the Scooby Gang.

Kendrthe was never given a survive title onscreen however Joss Whedon gave her a single for books, comedian & sir thomas more. Kendra's cognomen is Young.

Many issues were raised by Kendra's appearance:

Her appearance demonstrated that 2 Killer may be active at a equivalent instance. Her background (she was sent to her Watcher as a child for step by step training) indicated that a Watchers Council had some way of identifying potential Slayers at least in a few shells. Her social isolation & dedication extirpate & system inside pursuing her vocation served to highlight a ways where Buffy's independence, emotions and friendly relationship enhanced her performance as a Killer. the fact that neither Buffy nor Giles wwhen caring of Kendra & her Watcher, & that Kendra did non understand that Buffy was besides a Killer indicates (as does Watcher Gwendolyn Post's unauthorized visit to Sunnydale around an attempt to be Faith's Watcher) that a Watchers' Council either doesn't understand what a bit of of its professionals clean, or even that it every now and again doesn't part such intelligence by using its field operatives.
